Terms of Service
SteepDesk Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of SteepDesk. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Effective May 29, 2026.
1. The service
SteepDesk provides ordering, inventory, spend, and back-of-house tools for cafes and their teams, including an optional connector that lets you access your data from Claude. We may update or improve the service over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials and API keys secure, and for the activity of users in your organization. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to act on behalf of your organization. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to violate any law or third-party rights.
- Attempt to breach tenant isolation, access another organization's data, or circumvent rate limits or security controls.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or overload the service or its APIs.
- Upload malicious code or use the service to send spam.
Authorized security testing is welcome under our vulnerability disclosure policy.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis. The plan, the price, and the billing interval are shown before you pay, and taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each billing interval it renews for another interval of the same length and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. We email the billing contact before any price change takes effect, and before any renewal on an annual interval, with the renewal date, the amount, and a link to cancel.
You can cancel online at any time, in no more steps than it took to subscribe. Go to Settings, then Billing, then Manage Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the interval you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We will not require a phone call, an email, or a retention conversation to cancel.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a charge looks wrong, contact us and we will look into it.
5. Integrations and third parties
SteepDesk integrates with third-party services (e.g. Square, QuickBooks Online, email providers, and Anthropic's Claude). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. You authorize us to exchange data with an integration only when you connect it, and you can disconnect at any time.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you put into SteepDesk. You grant us the rights needed to host and process it to provide the service. Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
SteepDesk and its software, branding, and content are owned by us and our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; no other rights are granted.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, SteepDesk will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
11. Age requirement and children
SteepDesk is a business tool for cafe operators and their staff. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and an organization owner who adds a staff member confirms that person meets that age and any applicable child-labor requirement. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13 we delete it and the data attached to it.
